Welcome!
I am a professor in the Government and Justice Studies Department and a faculty affiliate of the Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies program at Appalachian State University. My interests include methodology, political behavior, judicial politics, and the sociology of academia. I received my PhD from Stony Brook University in 2012. I also have a master's degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia and bachelor's degree in Government and Women's Studies from Georgetown University. I enjoy following college sports, particularly football and rugby.
I live in the mountains of North Carolina with my husband, son, and dog. In my spare time, I can be found baking, knitting, or monogramming.
